house and 30 rock played really bizarre roles in one of my high school relationships. we talked in a lot of referential shorthand when discussing even like, serious relationship stuff, for things that were hard to articulate or whatever, oh also lost, she was super into lost, how we started talking in ninth grade was she was a friend of a friend i had a class with and i knew she was the big lost fan on campus and id started watching it with my mom and ended up talking to her about it, you know the scene where kate yells “I DON'T DO TACO NIGHT” this girl i dated tumultuously for a year and a half anxiously insisted “i don’t do taco night” to me in an attempt to communicate serious concerns
